Loop De Loop Recycling with Textile Lab

Join Textile lab this Saturday 10/15 at the Union Square pavilion for the Loop De Loop Recycling event! We will be there from 11am-3pm dyeing T-shirt shopping bags with flowers and plants collected from the greenmarket.

Greenpoint Greenmarket!

The lab paid another visit to the Williams­burg and Green­point Green­mar­kets on Sat­ur­day. We made dyes with fen­nel, cilantro and onion skins from Gar­den of Eve organic farm.

Textile Lab at New Green City

The Tex­tile Lab vis­ited the New Green City event spon­sored by GrowNYC  Union Square. We parked next to the City Atlas crew, and made dyes with euca­lyp­tus and cab­bage from the green­mar­ket. We met Johanna from Herbal Gar­den of East NY. See her pic­tured below sport­ing her hand knit­ted coat and hat!

Socrates Greenmarket

A trip to the green­mar­ket at Socrates Sculp­ture Park is a great way to spend a Saturday…nature, art and fresh local pro­duce. We took advan­tage of the veg­etable and flower offer­ings from J. Gle­bocki and Lucky Dog Farms. Dyes were made from sun­flower, zin­nia, fen­nel and onion skins!

Textile Lab In Dumbo
