Queen Anne's Lace and Lilac

I once read that Queen Anne's Lace was Katherine Hepburn's favorite flower. It makes a strong bright yellow dye and if you add iron you get moss greens.  The lilac yields yellows, greens, and pink/purples.

Micro Textile Lab!

The Micro Lab will be finished and launched at the end of July! We will use the lab to continue to conduct natural dye research at the GrowNYC  Greenmarkets in NYC.  The research that is being conducted with the Textile Lab links local farming and textile production and uses this synthesis as a means to explore sustainability.

This Lichen grows on our apple trees...the dye color ranges from bright yellow to orange-yellow.
